March 15, 2017 update notes for Visio by DPTPB stencil collection.
Redesigned all existing 10GbE and 40GbE DPTPB switch shapes
- All data now in top-level shape (Grouping Box)
- Rear view shapes have now connection points matching rear view rack shapes

- cost-effective solution
- 24 x 1GbE ports
- 8 x 10GbE ports
- 2 used for stacking / ISL
- 6 available for nodes
- Labeled with
- 1GbE/10GbE LAN
- Due to unique combination of 1GbE / 10GbE ports only 2×6 Rack/Mid variants of the shape available
- Port information pre-populated to display normal Nutanix use case
- Ports 1/1-1/24 = 1GbE
- Ports 1/X1 – 1/X8 = 10GbE
- Can be used with NetApp as well

- All the ports were empty
- Connection point on either side on the port
- But no connection point in the middle
- Have to use supplied sfp+ / qsfp+ modules
- Which in turn have just one connection point in the middle
- Little bit extra work, when moving objects around
- Makes the shape quite “heavy”, it takes time to place when pulled from stencil
- With Nutanix you have to use HPE DAC cables
- No support for Nutanix DAC cables
- Or use fiber
- With NetApp HPE switches do not support DAC cables
- only fiber allowed

HPE 40GbE switch shapes
- HPE 5930 32x 40GBE QSFP+ switch
- Original Visio Shapes by VXDFX
- Very modular shapes
- Fans and Power supplies as separate shapes
- All the ports were empty
- Connection point on either side on the port
- Unlike 5900 this one has also one connection point in the middle
- No need to use separate qsfp+ modules, smaller shape size, faster use
- With Nutanix you have to use HPE DAC cables, no support for Nutanix DAC cables
- Or use Fiber
- With NetApp HPE switches do not support DAC cables, only fiber allowed
