Nutanix AHV: removing corrupted images from catalog

For some reason I managed to upload images into Nutanix AHV image catalog that were corrupted. This might be a browser related issue, I have to do some digging in order to find root cause for the problem.

One symptom of image corruption was that all the controls for the image were missing from the Prism GUI. The image was there, but no controls and there was no way to remove the corrupted image.

Solution:

  • Login into one of the CVMs as nutanix user
  • Launch acropolis CLI: acli
  • List images: image.list
  • Delete images: image.delete
